Marqeta outage history and live incidents

Status: identified On October 23, 2026. Marqeta currently experiencing an issue affecting Marqeta's Disputes services for Visa programs. Our connection to Visa's dispute systems is unavailable. Customers submitting dispute API calls for Visa will receive error responses, and chargeback submissions to Visa are affected until service is restored. The issue began follows the Visa planned maintenance window that was expected to conclude by 7:00 AM PT. Marqeta is in active, ongoing communication with Visa to restore access and get an updated recovery timeline. We will share another update as soon as Visa provides a recovery estimate, and we apologize for the disruption.

Status: monitoring On October 22, 2026, between approximately 9:52 AM and 9:56 AM PT, some API requests originating from the us-west-2 region experienced timeouts. The cause was outside of Marqeta's environment. The issue resolved on its own and our services are operating normally, with no ongoing customer impact. We will continue to monitor the environment for some time to ensure stability. We are also working with our provider to better understand what happened, and we will share more information if it becomes available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
